In This Edition
First of all I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New 2008.
In this edition we launch the Christmas Number 1s competition, see who has won the pop families and declare another future competition.
Current Competition

Christmas is just a few days away and so from today (Sunday 23rd) we have launched the Christmas Number 1s artist bias competition. This will be the last artist bias competition for the next few weeks, as we go back to prize years from January. All 10 artists featured have had at least one Christmas Number 1 and these are :
Shakin Stevens (Merry Christmas Everyone) Girls Aloud (Sound of the Underground) The Beatles (I Want To Hold Your Hand) (I Feel Fine) (Day Tripper / We Can Work It Out) (Hello, Goodbye) Spice Girls (2 Become 1) (Too Much) (Goodbye) Slade (Merry Xmas Everybody) Mud (Lonely This Christmas) Michael Jackson (Earth Song) Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody / These Are The Days of Our Lives) Cliff Richard (I Love You) (Mistletoe and Wine) (Saviours Day) Boney M (Marys Boy Child - Oh My Lord)
We have a bonus prize this time as well. We are giving away the 101 Christmas Song compilation which features 4 CDs. To see more details on this prize, see the prizes page. http://www.ultquiz.co.uk/prize.php
In order to win the current cash prize you must get the highest artist bias points and select the prize years of 1960 to 2006.
Winners and Rankings
A very tight tussle between the top three over the last couple of weeks, between Kim Summers (who was leading for most of the first week), Stewart Lennox and Si Harris, but here are the final rankings.
1 ( 1 ) Si Harris 2 ( 2 ) Stewart Lennox 3 ( 6 ) Kim Summers 4 ( 7 ) Graham Mather 5 (Re) Michael Hallows 6 ( 8 ) Steve Cann 7 ( 5 ) Michael Ward 8 (Re) Matthew Clegg 9 (12) Philip Ward 10(NE) Paul Glover
Where Re is a Re-entry (a former player coming back to the top 10), and NE is a New Entry (a new player joining UltQuiz).
Si Harris has the top ranking for the third time now.
So the winner of the Pop Families cash prize is Si Harris, he wins his 6th main prize and equals Howie Ross and Stewart Lennox. Well done Si.
Please note Michael Hallows is back in play for the Christmas Number 1s.
