In This Edition In this edition we launch Pop Families, declare the winners of the Its A Rap Cash and Bonus Prizes, and introduce a change to the game strategy. Current Competition Today, Sunday 9th December, we launch the Pop Families competition, as suggested by Matthew Clegg. Like Matthew you can suggest your own competition themes, just reply to this newsletter with any ideas for themes etc. Coming close to Christmas most people start to think about their families, and this competition is just that, 10 groups of families that have charted. The artists featured will be : The Jackson Five The Jacksons The Bee Gees The Corrs The Nolans Five Star The Osmonds The Isley Brothers The Pointer Sisters Sister Sledge After looking at the chart span of the artists, starting with the earliest the Jackson Five and ending with the most recent, The Corrs, the year range will be 1970 to 2004. Remember you must have this range selected for your best effort to win the cash prize. No bonus prize for this one. Winners and Rankings Let us start with the ranking again from the Its A Rap competition and then I can run down the prize winners. 1 ( 7 ) Si Harris 2 ( 1 ) Stewart Lennox 3 ( 4 ) Howie Ross 4 ( 9 ) Michael McCarthy 5 (11) Michael Ward 6 ( 3 ) Kim Summers 7 ( 2 ) Graham Mather 8 (Re) Steve Cann 9 (NE) Daniel Moult 10( 6 ) Phil Bugler Si Harris now gets his second top ranking since the newsletters started recording the rankings (May this year). However there is some way to go to beat Stewart Lennox who clocked up his 13th top ranking last time. Now on to the cash prize, well, Si Harris is ineligble as he chose the wrong years and he won in the last four competitions, however he will be back in play for Pop Families. Stewart Lennox only won last time so is ineligible for this competition. So Howie Ross wins the top prize, this is his 6th first prize win and he now equals Stewart Lennox. Well done Howie. The bonus prizes go to the next two positions. Michael McCarthy from Cheshire wins the first Wildstyle DVD, and this is his third bonus prize and fourth prize overall. Well done Michael. The second bonus prize goes to Michael Ward from Kent, and he wins the second Wildstyle DVD, and this is his second bonus prize and third prize overall. Well done Michael. Previously if you completed all the squares on the game board and did not get the last square completely right, you would have got another board at the same level. Now if you get the last square not completely right you will go up a level. This is important especially for artist bias point competitons, to make it more competitive for higher levels.
